Booming Bass Haiku

it pounds on my head
the booming of the music
that is not my own

--

This haiku was brought on by the intrusion of a neighbor's stereo while we were trying to watch a movie.

Are some people deliberately inconsiderate or just plain clueless?

Turn down your bass response. If you can hear it outside your house (or car) so can your neighbors. They are just too nice to say anything to you.

sad face golden cat,
why are you waving at me?

--

Silly, I know. My eyes were burning and I didn't know what to write. I looked up at the shelf and this golden cat was waving at me. BAM!!!

Be open to inspiration.

Math Haiku

Hero In The Night Haiku

This is about my last chapter of Le Grand Danois.

getting to safety
while evil lurks in shadows
a hero arrives

Okay, I'm sure these aren't technically haiku poems, since they're not about nature. Whatever.

Dust Motes Haiku

I was thinking of the scene in the warehouse with Momma. She wakes up to sunlight streaming in through the warehouse window.

dust motes in the air
dancing through a happy ray
fall down to the earth

Punch the Wall

An angry haiku.

My fist clenches tight.
The wall looks so inviting.
Too easy to break.

Bedtime

A bedtime haiku.

Eyes are drooping closed.
Hard to open them again.
Time to go to bed.
